HOW TO ORDER

Placing an Order

You can use the website and place an order without the obligation to register or create an account.

After placing an order in our store, you will receive an automated email confirming the placement of your order.

All orders are subject to acceptance, which will be notified to you by email in the form of Order Confirmation. No order will enter the production process until confirmation.

For hats for which customization has been requested, the order confirmation will be accompanied by additional details to be discussed via electronic means of communication.

When you order a “Story” hat, you don’t place an ordinary order, you initiate a dialogue. Together, we will design a unique hat, like your story is.

Also, I don’t use beaver or rabbit fur, even on request.

If possible, with a prior appointment, we can talk over a coffee in my workshop that, through a pun at a chitter-chatter, got the name “La Medeleni”.

After agreeing on the final concept and payment (via payment link integrated on invoice), the hat enters the manufacturing process.

The manufacturing process lasts about 2-4 weeks, considering that each hat is made by hand, from the raw material to the finished product, and depending on the materials needed for the chosen design, stocks or other factors independent of our will.

The prices displayed in our store are expressed in EURO and do NOT bear VAT.

Also, keep in mind that for orders outside Romania, some customs duties applicable in the destination country may occur.

Delivery & Return Policy

Depending on the country where the shipment is going, it will take up to 2 weeks for it to be delivered.

However, given the current context (COVID-19), this deadline may be extended, regardless of our will.

Deliveries anywhere in the world are FREE.

Deliveries outside Romania are made via EMS Express Service of Romanian Pos.

Being personalized, custom hats are NOT returnable; however, if the hat is not a “perfect match”, we can work together to remedy this issue.

– Returnable products

Returnable products are those that they do not have customized elements.

If there is dissatisfaction with the purchased products, the Customer has the right to unilaterally cancel the order, notifying in writing that he renounces the purchase, without penalties and without invoking a reason, within 14 calendar days of receiving the product. Disclaimer is applicable only to individual customers.

The customer may request a different size or color of the same product or may request a full refund of the price paid.

The returned product must be in the same condition in which it was delivered, in the original packaging or equivalent, without signs of wear, both for the product and the accessories/consumables accompanying it, with intact labels and original documents accompanying it (invoice, instructions, etc.).

Products that have been damaged during transport to us are not accepted for compensation.

The return of the products will be made at the customer’s expense. Upon receipt, the package will be checked to see if it meets the above conditions; otherwise it will be refused. Thus, packages containing products in a condition other than the one in which they were delivered, those whose return has not been notified in advance, as well as those containing products damaged during transport due to improper packaging by the Customer will be rejected.

According to the law, the Company will return the value of the order within 14 calendar days from the return date, by bank transfer to the account specified by the customer.

Return of the products is subject to this law only for products that are delivered to customers through the courier service. Orders that have been picked up from the Company’s headquarters or transported directly to customers through their own staff or intermediaries are not considered distance trading, as they can be viewed, verified and accepted in person, appropriate to the customer’s purpose and needs.

– Non-returnable products

The personalized products are NOT returnable; however, if the hat is not a “perfect match”, we can work together to remedy this.

HAT CARE

– Never leave your hat in your hot car. Heat and sunlight can dry out, fade and shrink your hat.

– Do not hang your hat on a hook for long periods because it can change its shape.

– Store the hat (preferably in a box) in a cool, dry place, as both heat and moisture can damage your hat. Use moth repellent, if necessary.

– Allow wet hats to dry naturally; artificial heat from a hair dryer or heater can distort or shrink the hat. Place the hat on its brim on a towel to avoid creating flat spots on the crown. Shape the hat to its proper form; a wet hat will dry in the shape you leave it in.

– Handle your hat by the brim (with both hands), not the crown.
